Meals can be enjoyed at the main lodge (a picturesque, restored colonial homestead), in the cozy dining room, or on the big deck, situated next to the swimming pool.

Activities:

Our guides look forward to accompanying you on a game drive or bush walk, and to share the secrets of the wild with you. Alternatively you are invited to explore dusty African roads on a cycling safari on a sunny afternoon. Appreciate game viewing from the comfort of a boat, where you may fish for tigerfish with the guidance of our fishing expert. Why not partake in a rhino walk, where you will gain closer insight into the life of these magnificent prehistoric creatures?

For those who wish to learn about the many generous projects currently operating in the area, you are welcome to soar over the majestic Lebombo Mountains with Zululand Mission Air Transport. This extraordinary ‘flying doctor’ service brings much-needed medical assistance the remote rural areas of Maputaland.

For truly cultural experience, the lodge can arrange a trip to Dumazulu Cultural Village and Illala Basket Weavers or some of the local rural schools. You may also visit the Zulu chiefs and herbal doctors and gain insight into the roles that these icons play in their community. White Elephant Safari Lodge will also arrange for trips to some of Maputaland’s other magnificent reserves such as Hluhluwe-Umfolozi, Mkuze, Itala, Ndumu, Tembe and the Greater St. Lucia Wetland Park.
